Panda Bear Biography
Panda Bear discography The first member of the lauded freak-folk ensemble Animal Collective to strike out on his own, Artist (Noah Lennox) released the elegiac YOUNG PRAYER, a song cycle inspired by the death of his father, in 2004, but didn't garner major attention as a solo artist until `07's PERSON PITCH. A work constructed out of percussive samples, hypnotic keyboard washes, and Lennox's distinctive Brian Wilson-like vocals, PITCH proved to be one of the most heralded albums of the year, and also helped to chart the future course of Animal Collective, as heard on subsequent electro-leaning outings STRAWBERRY JAM and MERRIWEATHER POST PAVILION.
