He’s been featured in many national articles and also embraced by many national organizations that recognize his music as “edutaining.” He runs the gamut from folk pop/rock to Jimmy Buffett with his wonderful crowd pleaser here in Florida called “Hurricane Party”. His songs were created in his appreciation for the Crystal River in his hometown, Crystal River Florida and his awe of the manatee that lived there. This album was a first for educator and environmentalist Gary Pane.

The manatee songs from his first album entitled “Manatee Island” as well as the ones here on this album were embraced by many environmental agencies including Jimmy Buffett’s own “The Save The Manatee Club”, Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission, Outreach for Animals and the Homosassa Springs State Wildlife Park. Gary Pane a.k.a. “The Manatee Man” is a full time singer/songwriter and performer and an international award winning songwriter artist; but he started out as an educator and environmentalist. He became known as “The Manatee Man” after swimming with the manatees back in the 80’s and writing profusely about them. He has performed songs for years in many of the Florida Festivals including Crystal River Manatee Festival, Weeki Wachee Springs (“Home of the Mermaids”) Swampfest, Blue Springs Manatee Festival,Apollo Beach Manatee Festival and MOSI (Museum of Science and Industry) in Tampa Florida!
