| Artist appears on Them Them In Reality CD (1971)
Jim Parker CD discography
$15.39 THEM IN REALITY finds the band down to a power trio, turning their amps way up to 11 for a blues-rock crunch that accentuates the rough-edged, garagey side of their classic Morrison-era records (they even reprise their signature song, "Gloria"), but points towards a new era of heavy psychedelic rock.
Recording information: Gold Star Recording, Hollywood, CA.
Photographer: William R. The plucky Irish lads of Them continued on for a good few years after frontman Van Morrison split in 1966 for a solo career.

| Artist appears on James Brown Hell CD (1974)
Jim Parker discography
$6.55 HELL was released at an interesting juncture in Brown's career. This 1974 album came in the wake of the highly regarded PAYBACK, and the unusual decision was made to include re-recorded versions of seven previously released songs. The packaging of the album leads one to believe that this is Brown's big social statement about the plight of those living in American ghettoes. Only the title song seems to address these issues, however powerfully. That's not to say HELL isn't full of captivating cuts, though.
