 Phantom Planet Biography
While some may see Phantom Planet as that band featuring Hollywood figures like RUSHMORE star Jason Schwartzman, and others may associate them with "California," their catchy hit theme for `00s primetime soap THE OC, the L.A. quartet (sometimes quintet) are far more. Starting in the late 1990s, the power pop group, led by actor-songwriter Alan Greenwald's hyper-Californian voice, built a reputation for its drily humorous tunes, both edgy and fun-filled, which incorporated emo, prog, dance, and sometimes even jazz.
