She has nearly a hundred performances to her credit with groups and as a soloist in Las Vegas, San Antonio, Chicago, Washington D.C., New York City at Ground Zero, for the United Nations, and all over Utah including the 2002 Winter Olympics. Shalyn has been singing and dancing since the age of three. And her song, "Christmas in My Town" was requested and played on AFRN for six months following the Christmas season. Shortly thereafter, her voice was being played all over the Armed Forces Radio Network (AFRN) serving Iraq and Afghanistan. In 2006, at the age of 19, she recorded her first album which immediately attracted the attention of local radio stations.
