$13.39 And while this disc works perfectly well in this capacity, it's loaded with subtlety that's only apparent on closer inspection.
While a keyboard holds a chord for an extended period, complex sounds drift from foreground to background. As evidenced by the clever cover art, there's more here then you might expect. Texture and timbre vary from track to track, yet the mood is always expansive. Music based around long tones and slow changes has been typically labeled ambient, implying that it's only good as background shading. On another track, a low sound slowly plays a pentatonic melody that could just as easily be Celtic or early American as contemporary in origin.
