While Ramon is a current Member of the North Carolina Jazz Repertory Orchestra he is also the lead and solo trumpeter for the Raleigh Jazz Orchestra and the North Carolina Brass. Ramon has performed with music legends such as Clark Terry, Byron Stripling, Fred Wesley, Stanley Turrentine, the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, the O’Jays, Frankie Valli and Ed Shaughnessy. Has served as Adjunct Trumpet professor at North Carolina Central University, North Carolina State University, and Campbell University. He is a local radio producer, song writer, and composer. His international travels include Canada, Indonesia, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, the Bahamas, and Russia. Ramon KenanA Raleigh native who holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree of Music from Oral Roberts University. Has been performing professionally since high school.

Spectrum's Geraçào Bendita (Blessed Generation) came out in Brazil in 1971, sold poorly, and went forgotten until the 1990s brought a revival of the genre and record collectors began to dig up old recordings, at which point it became a sought-after rarity. More than a curiosity, this album chronicles the difficult emancipation of a generation. The music draws inspiration from the Woodstock generation, especially the folk songs of Crosby, Stills & Nash, the West Coast psychedelia of Jefferson Airplane, and the vocal harmonies of the Mamas & the Papas. Known as the first Brazilian hippie movie, it was completed in 1971, censured, and finally released in 1973 under the title E Isso Ai Bicho. Made up of ex-members of the group 2000 Volts, Spectrum formed in the studio for this specific project, the soundtrack of a movie directed by Carlos Bini, written and performed by the members of a hippie community in Nova Friburgo (near Rio de Janeiro). The German label Shadoks reissued it in 2002.
