John Rich Biography
John Rich albums Amarillo, Texas, native Artist got his start in contemporary country as bassist and singer in the 1990s country band Lonestar. After leaving that band in 1998, Rich tinkered with a solo career (recording an album in 1999, UNDERNEATH THE SAME MOON, that wasn't actually released until 2006) before forming the phenomenally successful country-rock duo Big and Rich with Big Kenny in 2003. After several years of success with the duo and as a writer/producer for other artists, Rich returned to his solo career with the 2009 autobiographical concept album SON OF A PREACHER MAN.
