 Johnny Rivers Biography
One of the shrewdest cover artists of the '60s and early '70s, Rivers enjoyed a long string of hits (glommed from sources as disparate as Chuck Berry and Smokey Robinson) that alternated between good time rockers and lush ballads. Rivers was one of the first rock & roll artists to play on and popularize L.A.'s legendary Sunset Strip.
