While Keith credits his grandmother Mazel Robertson, background singer for gospel great James Cleveland, for arousing his interest in music, it was uncles Chris Jasper and Rudolph Isley of the Isley Brothers that gave him an early understanding of the music business.“It was really a great experience. Merging his faith with a more modern sound is no surprise when you consider that Keith hails from a family of successful international recording artists that had their hand in both gospel music and R&B. Keith Robertson, an experienced and award-winning music industry veteran with several successful production and writing credits under his belt, has forayed onto the gospel music scene with the release of his debut CD “Love, Life & Relationships”. From a very young age we would see them every summer,” reflects Keith. Keith’s first solo effort is a 12 track homage to authentic spirit-filled love, and showcases his expertise at writing songs that simultaneously reflect real life and inspire hope.Stylistically, the disc leans more towards Adult Contemporary and R&B than traditional gospel.
