| | Sweet Oblivion CD (1992)
$5.95 The commercial breakthrough for this Seattle foursome came with their song "Nearly Lost You" from the soundtrack to the 1992 Cameron Crowe film SINGLES. That song, included here, is a powerful slice of dramatic rock that's only vaguely related to ...

| Anthology CD (1991)
$13.69 Although the band was lumped in with the rest of the Seattle grunge scene in the early '90s, Screaming Trees had more in common with the 13th Floor Elevators than with Black Sabbath. Their early albums, which mixed pounding garage ...

| Even If And Especially When CD (1987)
$12.29 By essentially "repeating the language of the land and the sky," the Screaming Trees accurately portray the organic spirit of the Pacific Northwest. On tracks such as "Cold Rain" and "In the Forest" their narrative landscapes are not only expressed ...

| Ocean Of Confusion: Songs Of Screaming Trees 1990-1996 CD (2005)
$7.59 Screaming Trees are often incorrectly lumped in with Seattle's countless 1990s grunge bands. While they shared a club scene and a love of classic rock with those groups, the Trees were always an island unto themselves. Heavily indebted to '60s ...

| Buzz Factory CD (1989)
$12.29 Buzz Factory would mark the Screaming Trees' final recording for SST, but not their last stand as independent recording artists. They would follow up by spending some quality time with Seattle indie Sub Pop, prior to the release of their ...

| Other Worlds CD (1985)
$9.79 Screaming Trees' first release was originally a 1985 cassette-only offering from the nascent K Records. Released on CD in 1989 by SST Records (the Trees' self-released second album, 1986's CLAIRVOYANCE, remains out of print), OTHER WORLDS can't help but sound ...

 Screaming Trees Biography
Screaming Trees was one of the marquee bands of the 1990s grunge movement. The band began its career playing a potent mix of 1960s classic rock and psychedelia infused with the urgency and power of punk rock. They released three albums on the famed indie SST during the late '80s, but like many of their Seattle brethren, the Trees had jumped to the majors by the dawn of the new decade, releasing four albums of well-crafted, melodic hard rock in the proud tradition of the many staples of FM radio. The Trees disbanded in 2000, and lead singer Mark Lanegan went on to further his already established solo career.
