| | Quique: Redux Edition CDs (1993) (Import) Remastered; United Kingdom
$13.79 Seefeel were never a band that would get played on Top 40 radio but the critics fell in love with their moody, brooding aural scuptre. Seefeel Biography
A rare bird on the electronic branch of the 1990s British shoegazer tree, Artist deftly balanced IDM intricacies with dream-pop atmospheres to produce a mesmerizing sound. Led by guitarist Mark Clifford, the band unveiled the acclaimed QUIQUE in 1993, and then followed up in an even more ambient/experimental vein. During the ensemble's brief tenure, Clifford developed relationships with better-known likeminded artists, leading to his remix work on Cocteau Twins' OTHERNESS and Aphex Twin's remixes on Artist's own POLYFUSIA EP compilation. After Artist disbanded in `96, members went on to numerous projects, including Scala and Disjecta.
