Although punk-pop bands proliferated throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, the genre wasn't exactly growing by leaps and bounds artistically. Over It is the welcome exception to this rule, and 2006's STEP OUTSIDE YOURSELF, the band's major label debut, is the culmination of the sound the band has been refining over seven albums. In fact, it seemed increasingly packed with derivative hacks, confessional emo boys, and tongue-in-cheek winkers.
