 Martin Simpson Biography
A full-time professional on the U.K. club circuit by the age of 18, Martin Simpson would go on to become one of the primary players of the latter-day British folk scene starting with his 1976 debut, GOLDEN VANITY. With a reverence for old-time standards like "Pretty Polly" and an ear for modern deep cuts by Dylan and others. His collaborations with June Tabor and with his wife Jessica furthered his legend and by the 21st Century the one-time golden boy had become one of the genre's enduring stars.
