 Daryle Singletary Biography
Traditionally minded country singer Daryle Singletary, a native of Cairo, Georgia, got his start in Nashville as a for-hire session singer for songwriter demos. One of those demos found its way to Randy Travis, who not only recorded the song, but recommended the unknown Singletary to his management team. A self-titled debut album from 1995 scored several hits, including "I Let Her Lie." A string of successful albums for a variety of labels followed, including 1998's AIN'T IT THE TRUTH and 2007's STRAIGHT FROM THE HEART.
