The music is rural in the most sophisticated sense - soulful, softly emotional front-porch music with an unwavering desire to make listeners feel good and think a little bit.Kudos to Susan Terry - singer, violist and mandolinist - who, without fanfare, produced and mixed the album in a manner that perfectly captures the down-home cool of the band’s music. The casual confidence of the performances - evolved string-band rock ’n’ roll, with an Anglicized heart and a blue soul - is deceptively alluring.
