Other highlights of the record include the fast-moving "Formula 409" and the faux power ballad "Heavy Woman," tracks that showcase frontman Dick Valentine's supremely campy vocals. Blatantly referencing one of the key singles from its '03 debut, FIRE, the band offers up "Gay Bar Part Two," a lively, stomping number that sets the tone for FLASHY. On its aptly titled 2008 outing, FLASHY, the Detroit-based dance-rock troupe commonly known as Electric Six unveils another raucous collection of gleefully hedonistic tunes. Though these songs aren't likely to convert many non-believers, those seeking a rollicking Electric Six revival will find it in FLASHY.

There are Monster Mash vocals on "Rock & Roll Evacuation," and frantic disco posturing on "Dance Epidemic," while "Dark Angel" combines the band's Detroit rock & roll roots with Goth rock overtones. Tongue-in-cheek Detroit rockers Electric Six display a variety on influences on their witty second album, SENOR SMOKE, which deals with subjects from sex aids to government surveillance.
