 Spacemen 3 Biography
Masterminded by Jason "Spaceman" Pierce and Pete "Sonic Boom" Kember, Spacemen 3 creatively mixed their psychedelic and blues/folk influences with the sounds of the time (mid-to-late '80s) and helped pioneer spacy, shoegazer pop-rock in the process. Leading the path for countless other bands, they created a number of fuzzed-out, druggy masterpieces before splintering. Pierce went on to further psych-rock glory with Spiritualized, while Sonic Boom mined the more experimental, electronic extremes with E.A.R. and Spectrum.
