Thanks to his brother, Rick, he also learned to play guitar. He would soon be playing solo gigs as a guitarist/singer in various Dallas nightclubs. His interest in guitar rapidly grew after moving to the Dallas, Texas area. By the time he was 16 he was playing drums in cover bands in East Texas, performing at parties, school functions, VFW halls and the occasional weekend club gigs throughout East Texas, Southern Oklahoma and Western Louisiana. His first song was House of the Rising Sun. Tom plays guitar and harmonica, writes a song now and then and probably drives way to fast He's been a roofer, a radio disc jockey, a sales man, a welder, a day laborer, a Father, a Husband, a shade-tree mechanic, a Systems Engineer, a maintenance man, a painter, a truck driver and a good friend Started into music at age 14 by learning to play the drums.
