 Stetsasonic Biography
Stetsasonic CD discography Originally the Stetson Brothers, the Brooklyn-based hip-hop band broke ground as one of the first rap outfits to utilize live instrumentation. Comprised of Daddy-O, Delite, Wise, DBC, Frukwan, and Prince Paul, Artist debuted in 1986 with ON FIRE. Songs like "Go Stetsa," "Faye," and "Just Say Stet" quickly became party anthems thanks to their playful lyrics, energetic shout-rap delivery, and positive approach. 1988's IN FULL GEAR received substantially more critical attention and included the pro-hip-hop manifesto "Talkin' All That Jazz." Artist broke up in 1991, shortly after the release of their third LP (BLOOD, SWEAT & NO TEARS), though Prince Paul and Daddy-O went on to successful careers as producers. Paul and Frukwan reunited in 1994 as part of the Gravediggaz.
