| Time Passages CD (1978) Remastered
$9.29 Year of the Cat brought Al Stewart a genuine worldwide smash with its title track, and for its successor, he did make a few concessions. These, however, were slight -- just a slight increase of soft rock productions, an enhancement ...

| Past, Present And Future CD (1974)
$7.59 As good as portions of it were, Orange was essentially a transitional effort, the necessary bridge to Past, Present & Future, the record where Al Stewart truly begins to discover his voice. This is largely through his decision to indulge ...

| Greatest Hits CD (2004)
$7.89 Over the years, there have been plenty of Al Stewart collections, most featuring the same five or six songs, giving the impression that he's an easy artist to compile. That, however, isn't quite the case. Most of these collections are ...

| Modern Times CD (1975) Bonus Tracks

| Love Chronicles CD (1969) Bonus Tracks
$9.85 The 18-minute title track, a chronicle of amorous exploits, attracted attention for including the word "fucking" (then taboo in pop songs) as well as alluding to impotence. The five shorter songs are uniformly excellent, from "In Brooklyn," the account of ...

| First Album (Bedsitter Images) CD (1967) Bonus Tracks; Reissue
$10.45 Although the orchestrations have been criticised as over-elaborate, there is no denying their impact on the title track and songs like "Swiss Cottage Manoeuvres" and "Scandinavian Girl" manage to shine through. Also of interest are the delicate instrumental "Denise at ...

 Al Stewart Biography
The Scots singer songwriter Al Stewart first made a name for himself in the late 1960s with a series of introspective folk-rock albums that were often augmented with lush string arrangements. An early partiality for confessional love songs was later replaced with extended works that embraced historical and political themes, while mid-`70s hits "The Year of the Cat" and "Time Passages" proved Stewart's expertise at crafting commercial material. Though similar chart success later proved elusive, he continued to maintain a somewhat lower-profile musical career well into the 2000s.
