This was Terry's first time in a recording studio. His popularity grew even more when he regularly featured on a weekly radio program called 'Rap Attack' where he would freestyle and play his demo tapes. He got acclaim for writing and co-producing the jingle. His Father was a salesman and his Mother was a beauty salon owner. The first born of a family of three, Terry came from a humble middle class background with his family barely keeping their head above the water. Terry would frequently escape the harsh realities of by burying his head in action comics and imagine himself as a super hero. After graduation, he started making a name for himself in the city of Kaduna where he spent almost twenty years, growing up in the ghetto neighbourhood of Ugwan-Dosa. He then featured on a talent-hunt show on DITV Kaduna Called 'Beatz of our Tyme' shortly after he graduated from secondary school in 1993. This Kano State born, Nassarawa/Benue native MC got into Hiphop music as far back as 1991, in secondary school shows, rapping and exchanging freestyles with fellow school mates. He was known then as Terryfic.
