The Biography
The CD discography British songwriter Matt Johnson, and various commutative cohorts, have functioned as Artist Artist since 1979. Initially signed to 4AD, Artist synth-based "band" has changed labels multiple times and, though not prolific, have released several critically acclaimed albums, employing Artist talents of such well-known guest stars as Sinead O'Connor, Johnny Marr, and Jools Holland. Artist Artist's most celebrated effort so far has been 1985's bass-heavy, hook-laden SOUL MINING.
