Budd's fragmentary piano notes glisten like dewdrops on the morning lawn during "Memory Gongs," while Liz Frasier's mellifluous voice cascades over the frozen drum patterns and processed guitar opalescence of "Sea, Swallow Me." What Budd brings to these proceedings is an air of classical sophistication that reigns in any more mainstream aspirations. Marry the langorous refrains of Harold Budd with the piquant etherealism of the Cocteau Twins and you have a union made in heaven.
