| Rumor & Sigh CD (1991)
$8.85 Richard Thompson's albums with Mitchell Froom in the producer's chair tended to be stylistically varied affairs, and on RUMOR AND SIGH, the singer's distinctive English vocal inflections and biting guitar spar inspiringly with Froom's kitchen-sink approach to production. Froom found ...

| Mirror Blue CD (1994)
$6.95 Though much of MIRROR BLUE was recorded live in the studio, producer/keyboardist Mitchell Froom's trademark processed sounds might make you think otherwise, as he tarts up Thompson's folk-rock arrangements with some exotic electronic flavoring. Though Froom's production puts too much ...

| Shoot Out The Lights CD (1982)

| Hand Of Kindness CD (1983)
$10.45 Richard Thompson's position as Britain's premier chronicler of pain, loving and most things dark, was on the line here. This was his first album minus wife of a decade Linda--hers a voice guaranteed to lift any music--and he had much ...

| Front Parlour Ballads CD (2005)
$14.59 The title FRONT PARLOUR BALLADS is an appropriate one for this album. In sharp contrast to many of Richard Thompson's latter-day releases, which feature full-bore pop-informed production, often courtesy of Mitchell Froom, this is a mostly acoustic affair that finds ...

 Richard Thompson Biography
Richard Thompson started his career in the late 1960s as Fairport Convention's precocious guitar whiz. His subsequent solo career bears echoes of Fairport's folk-rock sound, but with a much darker, more deliciously twisted sensibility. Thompson is equally skilled as composer and guitarist, as borne out by his much-lauded recordings both with his then-wife Linda and on his own.
