| | Hunkpapa CD (1990)
$6.09 On their third album, Hunkpapa, Throwing Muses' volatility settled into a jangly, angular style of college rock. Not quite as riveting as Throwing Muses or House Tornado and not quite as accessible as the band's later albums, Hunkpapa finds the ...

 Throwing Muses Biography
The spacey, jangly dual-vocal/dual-guitar attack of Boston-via-Providence's Throwing Muses helped define the American college rock sound of the 1980s. Step-sisters Tanya Donnelly and Kristin Hersh would continue to craft their smart, quirky, guitar-driven pop well into the '90s. After the band broke up, Donnelly went on to play in the Breeders and later formed Belly, while Hersh performed as a soloist and under the moniker 50 Foot Wave. The band released a reunion album in 2003.
