Toddla T Biography

Proudly carrying his hometown's tradition of cutting-edge dance music, Sheffield-based DJ/producer Toddla T (Tom Bell) specializes in a genre-bending mash-up of hip-hop, electro, and garage whose bass-heavy sound takes its cues from the city's early-`90s (Warp Records-centered) "bleep" scene. Initially a hired hand for various ill-fated studio projects, TT eventually hooked up with U.K. hip-hop don Roots Manuva, producing the single "Buff Nuff" off the rapper's 2009 release, SLIME AND REASON. Solo success came later in 2009 with the release of the single "Shake It" and a debut full-length, SKANKY SKANKY.
