A singer who also plays the doutar, a lute-like stringed instrument indigenous to her Central Asian country, Nazarkhan is rooted in the music of her homeland. Principally recorded at Taklab MKII, NME Studios, Paris, France.
The debut album by Uzbekistan's Sevara Nazarkhan was originally released in 2003 and reissued in 2008. However, the expansive YOL BOLSIN, produced by French avant-rock mainstay Hector Zazou, is no mere world music travelogue; these 11 tracks seamlessly integrate subtle electronic touches.
