His gentle and quiet voice makes the words fairly accessible even if it takes several readings to figure out what he is talking about much of the time! Dalachinsky's works are difficult to completely comprehend but fortunately his words are reproduced in the CD's liner notes. The music is very much in the background, helping to add to the introspective if often inscrutable atmosphere. Poet Steve Dalachinsky recites 33 of his mostly brief poems while backed by one or two musicians on this CD. This set is recommended mostly to fans of modern poetry.
