| | Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys CD (1971) Bonus Tracks
$6.55 THE LOW SPARK OF HIGH HEELED BOYS was a big change from the quiet, largely acoustic flavor of Traffic's reunion album JOHN BARLEYCORN MUST DIE. Although the gentle opening track, "Hidden Treasure," and the meandering, mellow closer, "Rainmaker," were in ...

| John Barleycorn Must Die CD (1970) Bonus Tracks; Remastered
$6.55 Although JOHN BARLEYCORN MUST DIE was originally intended as Steve Winwood's post-Blind Faith solo debut, Winwood and producer/label head Chris Blackwell first drafted Jim Capaldi to provide lyrics, and then Chris Wood dropped by to add his familiar reeds, and ...

| When The Eagle Flies CD (1974) Remastered
$6.89 It's not surprising that bassist Rosko Gee and percussionist Reebop Kwaku Baah went on to join German art-rockers Can. In fact, the 11-minute workout "Dream Gerrard," with its fluid groove, surreal lyrics, Chris Wood's lyrical saxophone interjections, and Steve Winwood's ...

| Gold CDs (2005) Remastered
$15.09 Although there are a few Traffic compilations on the market, this 2005 two-disc set, puts them to shame, with 30 essential tracks that span the British band's initial run from 1967-1974. (Core members Steve Winwood and Jim Capaldi revived the ...
|
| Traffic CD (1968) Bonus Tracks; Remastered
$6.49 On their second album, the cottage dwellers from Berkshire refined their hippie pop into a looser and vastly more mature work: evocative tales of nonsense in the beautiful "40,000 Headmen," joyful malarkey with Mason's "You Can All Join In," and ...
|
| Welcome To The Canteen CD (1971) Remastered
$6.59 If your familiarity with Traffic extends no further than the band's first two albums--1967's MR. FANTASY and 1968's TRAFFIC--you might not have thought about Traffic in terms of a performance entity. In fact, Traffic became quite a flexible live act, ...
|
| Heaven Is In Your Mind CD (1969) USA Version; Remastered
$12.65 Rehearsed and written at a cottage in the Berkshire countryside, Traffic's debut was former child prodigy Steve Winwood's first foray into headier territory after a stint playing R&B-fueled rock & roll with the Spencer Davis Group. Rounded out by drummer ...

 Traffic Biography
Traffic appeared amidst the late-1960s psychedelic scene, and at its height the band was one of the most adventurous outfits around, although Traffic's unstable lineup made it an on-again, off-again affair by the '70s. Teenage wunderkind Stevie Winwood was the main man, but all the members made significant contributions. With a sound that combined influences from folk, rock, jazz, and soul, Traffic created something wonderfully of its time on classic albums such as THE LOW SPARK OF HIGH-HEELED BOYS.
