 Porter Wagoner Biography
One of country's most enduring stars, Porter Wagoner is nearly as well-known for his flashy clothes as for his music. With his Hank Williams-inspired brand of honky-tonk, Wagoner was a mainstay of the country charts from the early '50s all the way through to the early 80's, and has remained a constant presence at the Grand Old Opry. From the mid-60's to the mid-70's, Wagoner teamed with Dolly Parton for a long string of hit duets. Wagoner passed away in 2007, shortly after the release of his final studio album, WAGONMASTER.
