The CD exploits the talents of its four members (Christian Brucculeri, Rick Sorkin, Bobby Nashawaty and TJ Brunner) as well as the talents of several outside musicians (on keyboards, sax, strings and string arangements). Just listen that's all we ask the audio files held within this sight, we feel, are enough to give the listener a good idea of Artist's ideas and delivery to speak of music is only semantics, mere details, just listen and you will understand The album utilizes everything from heavy reverb, flange, delay and distortion to the sweet clean sounds of acoustc guitars, string quartets and saxophones.Artist is a four piece rock act out of the Washington, DC area with a strong local following and incredible musical talent. Utilizing outside musicians and digital technology, Nocturnal Transmission is a testament to the ideal blend of traditional instruments and electronic music. The band did all of the production work itself; making the album entirely Artist. The band has managed to mesh the pseudo-psychadelic sounds of bands like Radiohead and Pink Floyd with the hard rock edge associated with artists like STP and Led Zepplin.Nocturnal Transmission is Artist's second album, following their self-titled EP release in 1999. Artist has been described by listeners as a superb melodic rock band with a dreamy edge. The best music you have yet to hear.

Our five-piece band, consisting of two guitars, keyboard, bass, and drums, is made up of an exciting new group of musicians dedicated to spreading our music throughout the New England area and beyond.Artist is Matt Colasanti, Matt Greiner, Steve Blount, Dave Porter, and Krys Jackson, a group of Rhode Island natives ("The Biggest Little State in the Union, Rhode Island, Rhode Island"). Artist, who's name comes from the street on which our rehearsal space is located, came together early in 2003 after Colasanti, Greiner, and Blount had spent months playing local venues with a rotating cast of local musicians. We credit many different genres of music for our distinctive sound, combining elements of classic rock, jazz, blues, and hip hop. Playing a steady schedule of gigs, writing new material, and finishing our debut CD, we have been fortunate to gain a tremendous amount of experience in a short time. In only our first year of existence, Artist has come a long way from playing our first gig in May of 2003.
