 Chick Webb Biography
Chick Webb was known as the world's greatest drummer in the days before Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich. Although he died young, his powerful big-band style created a lasting influence in jazz drumming, which was then in its infancy. His collaborations with singer Ella Fitzgerald are some of the best recordings of both artists' careers.
