Wisin & Yandel Biography
Wisin & Yandel are one of the most popular outfits in reggaeton, the Puerto Rican dominated off-shoot of hip-hop and dancehall reggae. The duo came together in the late 1990s, and released several hit albums before recording a pair of acclaimed solo albums. They reunited in 2005 and unveiled one of the classics of the reggaeton genre with PA'L MUNDO. The duo also formed the highly successful WY Records label, the roster of which was showcased on the famed LOS VAQUEROS mix CD. Between their label, their solo efforts, and their duo albums, plus numerous high-profile guest slots and collaborations, Wisin & Yandel are a seemingly unstoppable commercial and artistic force.
