Johnny's lyrics are down to earth, and straight to the heart, while his music is a mixture of yesterday and today. He is a singer, songwriter, producer, drummer, percussionist, bass and sax player. While a lot of music today is often lacking in emotion, Johnny's is anything but. Often compared to Billy Joel, Bob Dylan, and Train, he is an award winning songwriter of great depth. For the past 2 years, he has been promoting his album "long time coming" all over Virginia, and other Mid-Atlantic States. 11th, 2001, the song is partly about those events, and partly about overcoming loss in general.

Johnny Yankoviak began playing the drums at age 7. In 1990, he released his debut album, and in the mid '90's he released various singles. His Washington Redskin song was aired on MTV. In the mid 80's, he released his first compilation album entitled, "Shades of the Future". He was voted "most talented" in high school, and awarded a partial scholorship to attend Shenandoah Conservatory. In 1997, he had a small role in the Warner Bother's film "Contact" starring Jodie Foster. In middle school he picked up the keys and won a series of local talent shows. "Long Time Coming" was released in 2000, and "It's Been Six Weeks" was released in 2001.
