THE WIND BLOWS WILD was compiled from studio recordings, radio shows and live recordings. Originally released on Kaleidoscope [1489100 30]. Recorded between 1979 and 1987. The basic tracks for the songs "Rising Of The Moon" and "Give Yourself To Love" were recorded in 1983; the songs were completed in 1987, a year after Kate Wolf died of leukemia.
The first of the several posthumous releases authorized by Kate Wolf's estate, 1986's THE WIND BLOWS WILD mixes studio, radio, and concert recordings in a slightly scattershot but nonetheless compelling program of previously unreleased gems.
