I Crudeli CD (1967)
ENNIO COMPOSER MORRICONE songs Features the ensemble I Cantori Moderni Di Alessandroni conducted by the composer.
Dagored's comprehensive 2007 series of Ennio Morricone reissues included some surprises and some off-map material, but this 1978 soundtrack is pure, patented, semolina-enriched spaghetti western, rife with atmospheric guitars and emotionally taut percussion. Like all of Morricone's best work, it is spacious and fraught and redolent of the old West itself.
Morricone is at his best here in this 1967 spaghetti western (AKA: The Hellbenders), directed by Sergio Corbucci, the lesser known father of the spaghetti western, and director of the genre-defining Django, released later that same year. Here some ex-Con
Original score composed by Ennio Morricone.
