This is thier first release with their new drummer, Israeli sensation Yuval Lion The recording captures the spirit of the trio's live performances. Several of the long improvisations naturally flow from idea to idea, resulting in a connected suite of musical ideas, thus inspiring the name of the CD: Sweets. Co-leaders Guitarist and John Cabán and keyboardist Bennett Paster subsequently “massaged” the tracks and, adding only minimal overdubs, molded them into new sound sculptures. Artist spent a week just before Thanksgiving 2005 tracking some new funky psychedelic-soul improvisations and compositions.
