The guitarist featured on this album is Grasshopper from Mercury Rev. Her collection of songs is a haphazard mixbag tinged with familiar flavors, delivered in an unfamiliar package. who naturally does an outstanding job, and a there are also a few tracks featuring cellist Jane Scarpantoni who has been featured on albums by Lou Reed, R.E.M., and 10,000 Maniacs. Kat Larios’ vocals have an intriguing and haunting quality that sets her apart from everything. Even if you\'re one to shy away from the deep end, her catchy melodies will tide you over in a way that the most infectious pop tune never could.
