About Time CD (2010)
Iw albums Born and raised in New Orleans. IW describes himself as "fortunate" enough to be raised in two housing projects at the same time, the St. Bernard and Calliope. His father was from the Calliope (B.W. Cooper) and his mother was from the St. Bernard projects. So, growing up, IW would divide his time between the two locations.
IW considers his upbringing one of "fortune" for various reasons, saying,"The things that I had experienced by the time I was 12 years old, were the things that motivated me to start putting my thoughts, and life expereinces on paper. My surroundings also served as a constant reminder of what I would be headed for if I couldn't visualize a brighter future for myself."
Growing up surrounded by poverty caused IW to view life in a very different light. "I am thankful, for everyhing that I 've been through, and I am very happy with where I'm at." IW says that he is confident that the music he offers has the ability to change the world. Stating that, the truth, is "Undeniable."
"Everything has a time and a place. If I sit and wait patiently, my time will be straight. When I put it down, you feel me whole heartedly or kinda relate, I'll let you know the time of the day." -IW

Life As A Mack CD (2002)
Iw CD discography Finally dropping his debut disc, My Life as a Mack, after some time spent as a guest MC on various other Southern rappers' sets, New Orleans native Ke'Noe calls on his famous friends to help him out so much that at times he almost seems like a guest on his own record. ("Gold Diggaz" is almost entirely Snoop Dogg's track, but it's a killer). Yet despite the guest spots from Too Short, C-Murder, and others, Ke'Noe dominates the album's best tracks with a deep, growly voice, an easygoing, conversational style, and a lyrical viewpoint that appraises the gangsta scene without either over-glamorizing it or affecting the self-pity that ruins some similar records. (The single "They Hatin' On Me" is more in-your-face than similar tracks by Jay-Z and the like, which sometimes come off as whiny.) The one problem is that the production is a little too samey, with samples and hooks that don't add much to the verbally impressive tracks. ~ Stewart Mason
