Jim Breuer: Heavy Metal Comedy DVD (2002)
Jim Breuer discography On December 9, 2000, comedian Jim Breuer (Saturday Night Live, HALF BAKED) took to the stage at Irving Plaza in New York before a standing room only audience to unleash his own unique brand of rock'n'roll comedy. With his backing band, The Breu Crue, Jim treats the hungry, raucous, and appreciative crowd to routines such as "I Hate Goats," "4AM (Coming Home Drunk)," and his uncanny impersonation of AC/DC's Brian Johnson.
Jim Bruer's Heavy Metal Comedy was born on December 9th, 2000 when Jim unleashed his Rock-n-Comedy assault on an unsuspecting, standing room only crowd at New York City's, Irving Plaza. New routines such as "Coming Home at 4am" have already become cult faves and Bruer favorites like "The Party" have received a musical facelift. Jim's uncanny impressions, such as Brian Johnson of AC/DC, are also included in this DVd. Bonus material includes a 50-minute Heavy Metal documentary. See the origin of the goat, the truth about Saturday Night Live and the real adventure of a stand up comedian.

Smoke 'n' Breu CD (2002)
Jim Breuer songs Comedian Jim Breuer is best-known for his more memorable characters and impressions on Saturday Night Live as well as his portrayal of the perpetually stoned Brian in the cult comedy hit Half Baked. Before both of these incarnations he was a successful standup comedian with an open love of partying and 1980s heavy metal music. These loves are fully represented on his CD Smoke and Breu, with bits about AC/DC, hallucinogenic drugs, and drinking. The CD also offers insights into his three years on SNL with stories about meeting Joe Pesci and Robert DeNiro, experiences with fellow SNL actor Norm MacDonald, and the origins of his most famous character, Goat Boy. The entire performance is accompanied by a rock band made up of some of Breuer's childhood friends, which augments many of the jokes and allows the comic to display his uncanny ability to imitate the best heavy metal singers, including AC/DC's Brian Johnson. If there is anything lacking in the recording, it is that there are some gaps where Breuer is obviously performing more physical and visual comedy. It is obvious that the recording was culled from a performance originally staged for television and was simply adapted for this recording, but overall the CD satisfies both the casual fan and the most dedicated Jim Breuer follower. ~ Michael Cusanelli
Recorded live at the Comedy Connection, Chicopee, Massachusetts on June 29, 2002.
