Dindinha CD (1999) Top Seller
The opening album of a new sensitive singer, Ceumar. Avoiding easy shortcuts to success, Ceumar left out all electronic devices and such trends, preferring to invest in sensitive interpretations with her limpid voice for old composers' classics (the samba "Maldito Costume" by Sinhô, 1929; the instigating recreation for Luiz Gonzaga's "Olha Pro Céu," in marcha-rancho rhythm, where all backing she had is her own voice in overdubs) and "new" composers' (that is, from professionals with 20 years of career) songs, like "Dindinha," "Cantiga," "Boi de Haxixe," "Pecadilhos" by the producer Zeca Baleiro, "Banzo" by Itamar Assumpçao, "Galope Rasante" (Zé Ramalho), and "Geofrey, A Lenda Do Ginete" (Chico César). A delicious album, delicate and inspired, interpreted with authoritative musicality. The only unfulfilled promise is "Let It Grow," which loses in the comparison with the previous recording by Renaissance's Annie Haslam and her three-octave range. ~ Alvaro Neder

Live in Amsterdam CD (2010)
Ceumar albums The Brazilian born singer-songwriter Ceumar is not only blessed with a wonderful voice but also with a very special name. Ceu stands for heaven and Mar signifies the sea.
In the early nineties she was discovered in Si£o Paulo by Zeca Baleiro, who produced her first album. This album Dindinha received excellent reviews worldwide and ever since Ceumar has been recognized as one of the pearls of the Musica Popular do Brasil (MPB). In her music Ceumar combines in a unique way Brazilian folk with influences from pop, jazz and samba.
Ceumar in Europe
At a concert in Si£o Paulo she started working with three Dutch jazzmusicians: Mike del Ferro, Frans van der Hoeven and Olaf Keus. From the start this collaboration was a huge success resulting in many concerts in Brazil and Europe. In september 2010 Ceumar released the CD 'Live in Amsterdam' with this trio, on which she provides Brazilian rhythms with a jazzy approach. As a true Brazilian singer-songwriter she sings in a poetic way about everyday life, sorrow and of course, passion.
Ceumar recently moved to Amsterdam. Together with her career in Brazil, she is now ready to bring her music to Europe! This cd is the first European statement of this great singer.
