Dead Combo albums Following the success of it's debut album "Vol. 1" that received the Album Of The Month award by BBC's Charlie Gillett and had the tune "Rumbero" included in Charlie's annual compilation of the best from 2004 - "The Sound Of The World 2004" Dead Combo released the second album "Vol. 2 - Quando a Alma Ni£o e Pequena". The new album takes its title from Fernando Pessoa's poem "Mensagem". Deeply rooted in the Portuguese tradition and at the same time open to influences from all over the world, this new album shows us that the group has developed a musical language that is original and unique. The elements that first come out of the music by the duo are the obvious connections to their homeland and its music but also traces of Africa and America as heard on "O Assobio (Cani§i£o do Avi´)" or "Mr. Eastwood".

The band Dead Combo is composed of two elements: Ti³ Trips - electric guitarPedro V. Goni§alves - double bass, melodica and electric guitar. Formed in 2003 by the occasion of a recording a tribute to the great portuguese guitar player Carlos Paredes, Dead Combo has released the debut CD "Vol. 1" in June 2004. Together they found a new sound, some kind of Fado mixture with western movies soundtracks. As a critic recentely described their music: "...Here Fado was reinvented.
