Musaic music CDs The first album was more on the soul front with mellower slower songs. This current album, takes some of those soul inflections and puts a dancy pop spin on it. Think John Legend meets the Black Crowes meets Usher. The band got a new singer during the making of this album, broadway superstar, Rodrick Covington. The band has been in existence since the fall of 2009. It has undergone many member changes, but it finally settled in on the current lineup about 2 years ago. It can be described at dancy soul/rock. It's got it all, catchy hooks, deep grooves, and thoughtful lyrics. This album took about a year and a half to finish. Having literally no budget things take a while to get done. Band members play in many other groups in the city that pay for their time. This one, (shameless album plug), does not unless you buy an album. The drummer owns and operates a studio in Brooklyn called Man Eat Wolf studio. Many bands have recorded there; My Cousin The Emperor, The Keeps, and Todd Kramer just to name a few. Musaic discography This album/EP, is a product of 8 months worth of hard work. Musaic, is a collective of 5 professional NYC musicians who decided to come together to create their own original band. Ours is to share beautiful and compelling men's a cappella singing with our Bay Area community at the highest level of musical excellence. We are committed to classical choral traditions, through a repertoire that includes a wide range of styles and genres in a variety of languages. The members of Musaic are passionate about men's ensemble singing, and devote a great deal of time to the group. Our group began in 2000 as a few friends gathering to sing for their own pleasure.
