Often sharing bills with Indie Rockers, Jam and Pop Bands, as well as Singer/Songwriters, they do not fit comfortably into one specific genre; their music is rooted in traditional hip-hop, but feature live instruments instead of looped samples or beats and mesmerizing vocals. Their lyrics are often socially conscious, but they also incorporate themes that reflected warmth, positivity and the importance of being true to oneself. MC Kuf Knotz, and Singer/Songwriter Nora Whittaker front the group with their inspiring vocals. Hustle songs founded in 1997, came out with their 1st cd in the summer of 1998, the cd was called "hope i make it". the group consisted of 4 people. mental, felon, real 1, and hustle. hustle is the ceo of no joke records. "hope i make it" was hustled out tha trunk; it did okay. then a second cd was released in oct of 2001. 'tha new beginning". but this time it was a two man group real 1 and hustle. this cd was also hustled out tha trunk in nashville and surrounding counties. "tha new beginning" created a street buzz for no joke and tha label, but nothing else was released until now. "just doin me" is the name of the new project. this time it's hustle coming out the gate solo, but he's not alone really! he has alot of great collaboration on this project. featuring bun b of ugk, young buck of g-unit, yo gotti out of memphis, bubba sparxx, haystack makmillion and alot of hot features out of his city. from the streets of nashvill pistol, quannie cash, black formerly of black and jay, d-ray from cwb and tha burnaz, charlie p of the burnaz, taz daddy formerly a dj of 106.7. produced by the hottest producer in nashville tim (kimallion) hill. all tha tracks on this one is banging. please believe me. the artwork done on the project was by toni delano of ebb tight entertainment. hope everybody will get a cd and hope you enjoy it. hustle Recording information: Rhythm Chambers Studio, Murfreesboro, TN.
