Southern Cooking CD (2001)
Comprised of a host of family members and friends, the Ingrams have become noted for their brand of Southern soul-gospel music. Southern Cooking, the ensemble's debut offering on the Blackberry label, features a number of musical highlights. The song "Thank You" features the late Rev. James Moore making one of his final vocal appearances before his passing. The inspirational bonus track "Hold On" teams the Ingrams with Doug and Melvin Williams of the popular Williams Brothers group, along with R&B great Betty Wright. The title says it all. The cooking done here is definitely good for the soul. ~ Tim Smith
