Love Of Everything albums The Love of Everything is a one-man band with an emotional life of ten people. Bobby Burg internalizes every critical disappointment of his young adult life and transcribes it into an aural slide show of sorts for Total Eclipse of the Heart. It's not entirely a painful look back, even though the Love of Everything's quaint melodies of acoustic guitars, the sparse electro-pop bits, and Burg's boyish vocal cry are all so fragile. Each song creeps slowly, leading listeners to constantly look over their shoulders while contemplating blighted hopes of the past. From the music-box spell of "Dear Gravity Fills" and the silent storm of woodwinds and acoustic guitars of "Porch Sleeping" to the hushing sadness of "Beddowframe," the Love of Everything might lead one to believe he's wallowing in self-pity. That's not the point, really; Total Eclipse of the Heart hints at daybreak through self-acceptance. Nurturing oneself through song is sugar for the soul, and the childlike innocence of "Be Nice to Me" finds one's mending spirit. Blazing electric riffs kick off the unfortunate game of being good enough on "Unsizeable," making it the Love of Everything's most obvious moment of vindication.
