Marisa discography This CD was influenced through pressing times as Marisa and Scott were challenged to examine their convictions about Jesus Christ and salvation. We have concluded that the requirement is "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." Romans 10:9-10 Marisa was born and now resides in Eugene, OR. Studied classical violin for 10 years and has played independently for the past 11 years. She taught herself how to play the piano by ear in high school, quickly followed by guitar in college. She met Scott, her husband now of 7 years, in California on a missions project in the summer of 2000. After moving to Indiana, Scott's home, they traveled with Purdue University's Campus Crusade worship band, "Broken String", in the summer of 2001. After recording their first album, East of Everything - Angel's Wings, in West Lafayette, Indiana, they moved to Nashville, Tennessee where they lived for 3 years. Marisa and Scott have two daughters Emma and Leah. Marisa "Worship" was completed just after Leah's arrival in March 2010.

Marisa CD discography Hi, this is Marisa. Well, the "band" has been many different people, in many different places, over the past several years. But, I can tell you about me! I grew up in Eugene OR. I enjoyed snowboarding and song writing in my high school and college years. My love for music took me to Tennessee where I graduated from MTSU with my teaching degree. I've been a song writing maniac, with over a hundred originals. I try to let no area be unsearched and no topic unheard.

Marisa music CDs Twenty-six-year-old Rasha begins her debut, Sundaniyat, with "Aquis Mahasnik Biman (With Whom Can I Compare You)." On this Sufi meditation she is only accompanied by oud, which lends a distinct Middle Eastern feel to the piece. She closes the disc with the same hymn, this time with added percussion, voices and sax. The clarity and simple beauty of her voice, singing in Arabic, comes through most effectively when it is most adorned. Fortunately, in the second rendition, the horn steps out of the arrangement when Rasha sings. A funky Afro-pop is attempted by having her sing along with the sax on the otherwise bouncing and joyful "Azara Al Hay (Girls of the Quarter)." This is definitely a pan-African pop fusion album.
