In fact, Pizzicato Five had by this time released so many records at home that the band had experimented with several different musical styles, mostly based in various forms of electronic dance music, and had featured several different lead singers delivering the songs of mastermind Yasuharu Konishi. FIVE BY FIVE, like all of the band's releases since 1991, features the charming, kittenish vocals of Maki Nomiya.
