Ancient Heart CD (1988)
Helen O'Hara albums Singer/songwriter Tanita Tikaram's debut album, Ancient Heart, stands as one of the most underappreciated albums of the 1980s, and she, along with Tracy Chapman, preceded the 1990s' onslaught of female singer/songwriters by almost a decade. Tikaram, who was only 19 when this album was released, created a melancholy ...

Don't Stand Me Down: The Directors Cut CDs (1985)
Helen O'Hara albums Kevin Rowland's career was based around the idea of being wilfully perverse, but even ardent followers were baffled by this album. The immaculately dressed band on the record sleeve gives little indication of the bizarre nature of the music within. Songs drift along for several minutes as Rowland talks with guitar player Billy Adams about his feelings. Suddenly the talk stops, and the songs burst spectacularly into life, most notably on the brilliant "This Is What She's Like," in its full ten-minute glory. DON'T STAND ME DOWN remains Rowland's definitive artistic statement, but it also managed to destroy his commercial standing in one fell swoop.
UK limited edition remastered (Director's Cut) reissue of their controversial final album. originally released on Creation in 1985 but long deleted. Includes extra DVD (which is PAL and will only work if you have an all code player) disc featuring three promotional videos 'This Is What She's Like', 'My National Pride' & 'I Love You (Listen to This)'. 2002.
